Alterum Studio (hereinafter, "We," "Us," and "Our") respects your privacy and has instituted this Privacy Policy to protect you (hereinafter "You" and "Your") in Your capacity as a user of the Alterum Studio website located at alterumstudio.com, or any other website owned or operated by Us that does not post a different privacy policy (hereinafter, the "Site").
Please read on to learn how We collect and use information obtained from the Site. If You have any questions about Our Privacy Policy, feel free to contact Us through the contact form.
When You access and use the Site, We process, store, and use certain information in accordance with the principles set out in this Privacy Policy. We will limit the collection and use of Your information to a minimum. We will only collect such information as is required to help You use the Site and to answer Your enquiries. The information You provide may also be used for analytical and statistical purposes, as specified herein.
What personal data do we collect and what do we use it for?
Personally identifiable information (hereinafter "Personal Data") is any information that can be used to identify and contact You, including Your e-mail address, full name, postal address and/or telephone number. When You use the contact form on the Site, We collect such Personal Data about You as You choose to provide (including Your name, e-mail address and message) in order for Us to respond to Your enquiry, administrate Our business and ensure Our legal compliance.
When You access the Site, Our server automatically collects certain information such as your IP-address, pages viewed, and length of time spent on the Site. We collect and use this information to diagnose problems with our server, to improve Our site, and to provide content of interest to You. The Site is delivered through Cloudflare, which acts as Our content delivery network and hosting proxy and therefore processes Your IP address and request data to serve and protect the Site. When You allow Statistics cookies, Google Analytics 4 may also process similar usage data as described in Our Cookie policy.
It is in Our legitimate interest to use Your Personal Data in such a way to ensure that We provide the very best service to You and Our other customers.
Cookies policy
We use cookies and similar technologies on the Site. Some are essential for the Site to work. Others, including Google Analytics 4, run only if You allow the relevant categories in Your cookie choices. Cloudflare Turnstile may set cookies when You use the contact form. We do not sell cookie data. Where third-party providers process data from cookies, they do so on Our behalf as described in Our Cookie policy, which lists each cookie, provider, purpose, and how to withdraw consent.
Security of personal data
We take reasonable, industry-standard steps to safeguard the security and confidentiality of any information You provide to Us, including Your Personal Data. When Your Personal Data is stored with Us, We use systems with limited access, located at facilities with technical, physical and administrative security measures, to protect against unauthorized access to, use or disclosure of Personal Data We collect or store.
Whom do we share your personal data with?
We may share Personal Data with a variety of the following categories of third parties if necessary, such as:
- Our professional advisors, such as lawyers and accountants;
- Governments or regulatory authorities;
- Insurers;
- Tax authorities;
- Third parties to whom We outsource certain services, such as IT systems or software providers, hosting service providers, e-mail delivery through Google Workspace (Gmail), document processing and translation services, etc.;
- Cloudflare, Our content delivery network and hosting proxy, which processes visitors' IP addresses to deliver and protect the Site and provides Turnstile bot protection on the contact form;
- Google, for Google Analytics, only after You allow Statistics cookies.
In some cases, We thus appoint sub-contractors as required to deliver Our services to You. These sub-contractors process Personal Data on Our behalf. We ensure contractual documentation in relation to any sub-contractor to make sure that they process Personal Data according to Our legal and regulatory obligations.
As much as possible, we try to store and process Your Personal Data on the territory of Romania.
However, it could be possible for Us to transfer some of Your Personal Data to entities located in the European Union or outside the Union, including in some countries in relation to which the European Commission did not recognize an adequate level of protection of processed personal data.
We will always take measures in order to ensure that any international transfer of personal data is carefully conducted in order to protect Your rights and interests. The transfers to service providers and other third parties will be always secured through contractual arrangements and, where appropriate, through other guarantees, such as standard contractual clauses issued by the European Commission or, where applicable, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
You may contact Us anytime through the contact form in order to find out more information about the countries to which we transfer Your Personal Data, as well as about the guarantees implemented by Us with respect to these transfers.
How long do we process personal data for?
Messages You send through the contact form are not stored on the Site's server. They are delivered by e-mail to Our studio inbox, where We keep them for as long as needed to handle Your enquiry and for up to 24 months after Our last exchange. We then delete them, in compliance with Our obligations under the EU General Data Protection Regulation.
In some cases, We may be legally obligated to keep processing Your Personal Data for a longer period. In these specific situations, We will keep Your Personal Data solely to the extent and for a minimal duration so as to comply with the applicable legal provisions in specific domains, e.g. accounting, tax, money laundering.

Please note that You could be directed to another site while using the Site. When You link to another site, You should review their privacy policy, as it may be different from Our Privacy Policy. Such sites may send their own cookies to users and otherwise collect data or solicit Personal Data. We are not responsible, and shall therefore not be liable, for the privacy practices of linked sites or any use such sites may make of any Personal Data collected from You. This Privacy Policy applies solely to Personal Data collected by the Site.
